ALLAH'S STANDING IN RUSSIA

by Ibn Adolf

Sayyid Qutb was bullshitting us, as usual

Sayyid Qutb: “… the Russian people themselves continue to indicate that deep at heart they yearn to have a faith based on belief in God.”
Sayyid Qutb: In the Shade of the Qur'ān   volume 5 pp 122-123

Sayyid Qutb wrote in the 1960s or so, a time when Russia was ruled by atheistic Communists who discouraged displays of religious piety. But in 1991 communism collapsed and nowadays in Russia religion is as free as it's ever been. Consequently this is the right moment to test Sayyid Qutb’s claims empirically.

Statistics from 2007 show that Sayyid Qutb was bullshitting us, as usual. In Europe the Russians scored lowest on the religion scale, after the incredulous French.
